Marilyn Rae Wittmann of Denver, Colorado, died on December 20, 2021, at the age of 75.
Marilyn was born in Central City, Nebraska, on July 24, 1946 to Vernon Henry Smith and Audrey L. (Gleason) Smith.
A proud graduate of the University of Nebraska, in 1970 Marilyn married William Wittmann, with whom she had two children, Kelly and Matthew. She had a lifelong passion for education and retired in 2004 as a kindergarten teacher at Bricker Elementary in Colorado Springs.
She loved walking, wine, and books. An avid golfer, in her later years she most enjoyed traveling around the world visiting friends and family.
Marilyn was predeceased by her sister Sharon, and is survived by her sister Debbie, daughter Kelly, son Matt, and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Denver’s Early Childhood Council.
